I think ginger water/tea is one of my favorite
drinks. It is quite tasty, easy to make and has numerous health
benefits.
According to Ayurveda, the ancient Indian
health system, ginger in is often called the universal medicine. In
India, it was made into pills, pastes, and teas.
It was traditionally taught to be beneficial
for digestive issues such as indigestion, and was even used for
respiratory issues. It is especially beneficial for some forms of
indigestion. From an ayurvedic standpoint, modern society does not
recognize the important signals that indigestion indicates regarding
our digestive health. Ginger tea can help to balance the digestive
system and increase the “burning up” of toxins in the digestive
tract.
It is contraindicated for bleeding disorders,
ulcers, high fever or if inflammatory disorders are present.
